About Ginkgo Chinese Restaurant

Ginkgo Chinese Restaurant is a welcoming dining destination that brings together the depth of Chinese cooking, the regional character of Sichuan flavors, and the broader appeal of Asian-inspired comfort food. It offers a setting that feels approachable for everyday meals while still giving guests the sense that the kitchen takes its food seriously. For diners looking for a place that can satisfy a range of tastes, Ginkgo stands out as a restaurant built around variety, convenience, and a dependable experience.

One of the strengths of this restaurant is its ability to serve many kinds of occasions without losing its identity. It works well for a relaxed lunch, a casual dinner, a solo meal, or a gathering with family and friends. The atmosphere is described as quiet and comfortable, which makes it suitable for people who want to enjoy a meal without feeling rushed. At the same time, the restaurant also supports a more social dining experience, with seating and table service that make it practical for groups and for guests who prefer to sit down and enjoy several courses.

The menu direction suggests a balance between familiar favorites and more distinctive regional dishes. Chinese restaurants often appeal because they can move easily between bold, spicy dishes and milder comfort foods, and that range is part of what makes them so enduring. Ginkgo appears to embrace that flexibility with offerings that can satisfy guests who want something hearty, something lighter, or something with a stronger Sichuan-style kick. Its selection of small plates, vegetarian options, dessert, beer, wine, and happy hour drinks adds to that versatility, making it easier for guests to build a meal that suits their appetite and mood.

Accessibility and convenience are also central to the experience. The restaurant supports multiple ways to enjoy its food, including dine-in, takeout, curbside pickup, delivery, and no-contact delivery. That makes it useful for busy weekdays, family evenings at home, or customers who simply want an easy meal without sacrificing quality. Its onsite service and catering options extend that practicality even further, allowing it to serve both individual diners and larger events. For guests who value ease of access, the presence of wheelchair-friendly entrances, parking, restrooms, and seating adds meaningful reassurance.

Ginkgo Chinese Restaurant also reflects a modern understanding of what diners look for in a neighborhood restaurant. It is family-friendly, accepts reservations, and provides amenities such as Wi-Fi and restroom access, which helps create a smoother visit. The availability of free parking and additional parking options reduces friction for people arriving by car. Those details matter because they shape how comfortable and convenient the restaurant feels before the meal even begins.

Its identity as an Asian-owned business adds another layer of interest, especially for diners who value supporting ownership with cultural connection to the cuisine being served. That background can contribute to a more authentic and thoughtful approach to flavor, technique, and hospitality. Combined with a strong reputation and a high level of guest satisfaction, the restaurant presents itself as a dependable place for Chinese and Asian dining that is both accessible and distinctive.

For people seeking a restaurant that offers comforting dishes, flexible service, and a setting that can adapt to many different dining needs, Ginkgo Chinese Restaurant makes a strong impression. It brings together familiar appeal and regional character in a way that feels practical, inviting, and memorable.

I’ve spent most of my life in the San Fernando Valley, where there are more places to eat than I could ever count. So when I find myself driving back to the same restaurant two or three times a week, that says something. Ginkgo Chinese Restaurant has become one of those places for me. The food is consistently good, the service is always welcoming, and after a while it starts to feel less like a restaurant and more like a familiar stop in my week. I’m not writing this to promote the business. I simply wanted to say thank you to the people who work here. Good food brings people in the first time. Good people are what keep them coming back. You have earned a loyal customer, and I appreciate what you do.

I had the best experience booking my daughter's graduation reception at Ginkgo, despite never trying it before. I decided on Ginkgo for its proximity to the Claremont Colleges, and a close friend reassured me that it was an excellent choice. From beginning to end, Joy (the manager) was gracious in answering my questions and made helpful recommendations to allay the stress inherent in planning a large party. On the day of my event, Joy and her assistant, Ling, paid attention to little details and checked in with me regularly to ensure a memorable experience. My guests praised the banquet style food, attentive service, and the warm ambience. Overall, it was a lovely celebration, which my family and I will forever cherish. Joy and the entire Ginkgo staff treated me like family. Joy even introduced me to her mother, who was working in the back. I highly recommend Ginkgo for a fancy banquet or a simple meal. Stop by, and you will surely be made to feel like family. MY SINCEREST GRATITUDE TO JOY, LING, AND THE ENTIRE GINKGO STAFF!!!

My family and I love coming here. Their Mapo Tofu is hands down the best I've ever tried! Also am a huge fan of their garlic green beans. The staff are super friendly which always makes us want to come back :)

Good experience! Our server, Ling, was absolutely fantastic. We tried the house fried rice, which was decent, though I've had better. A highlight was when our waitress got permission for us to try the Asian sausageβ€”she called it an 'explosion in your mouth,' and it really was delicious! Plus, they're running an anniversary promotion right now. Try them out. You might have stumbled upon a new fav. I love the bathroom sink and want one for my own home. πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ«ΆπŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ˜‹

OMG this is genuinely the best authentic Sichuanese restaurant in the greater Pomona/Claremont area! The interior design is amazing and super ambient, and the TV programs are really interesting The staff are so nice here and they're super attentive and helpful with any questions! The food is so good, I've tried the Zhong Dumplings, which were super flavorful and juicy Stir Fried noodles, which were pretty typical but really good. The orange chicken was so crispy and had bits of orange peel, it was extremely flavorful and definitely the best orange chicken I've ever had. and also the cold jelly starch noodles, which were great! I loved the sauce and the texture is so good They also gave us complimentary shrimp chips! They were amazinggg EVERYTHING is top tier !! And the lemon water is so good too
